Mr. Witt is a 1988 graduate of Northwest High School in Grand Island, Ne. He graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1992 with a BA in English and Secondary Education and a middle school endorsement. In 2014, Mr. Witt earned his MA in K-12 Educational Administration from Concordia University in Seward, Ne.
From the spring of 1992 to the fall of 1994, Mr. Witt worked as a youth director and substitute teacher in the Grand Island area. From the fall of 1994 through the spring of 2000, Mr. Witt worked for the Fairbury Public Schools system teaching various junior high and high school English classes. During this time, Mr. Witt also served as an assistant girls track coach, assistant junior high basketball coach, assistant volleyball coach, and head softball coach. In the fall of 2000, Mr. Witt began working at Northwest High School where he is currently employed. His teaching duties at Northwest have included: Freshmen English, English 10, American Literature, Literature 11 A, Senior English, and Communication Arts 12. At Northwest, Mr. Witt has served as an assistant varsity track coach (17 years), head junior high track coach (15 years), assistant softball coach (6 years) and head softball coach (11 years).
